Born in New York, raised in Las Vegas and now writing and directing in Los Angeles. If you have been watching sports for the last fifteen years you have probably seen spots by John Bonito. His expertise has garnered international acclaim, stemming from the 2002 Winter Olympics, where he directed a James Bond-esque spot featuring snowboard legend Chris Klug. From there he moved on to arena football where he won awards for his campaign featuring Jon Bon Jovi and John Elway in 2004. Since then he has directed two feature films (The Marine, Carjacked), spots for NASCAR and GE, as well as a campaign for CSNBC’s Squawk Box. His unique mix of in-your-face action and comedy has made him one of the most sought after directors in the industry.
Now it’s time to name-drop, because that’s what cool kids do. John has worked with sports legends Tony Stewart, John Elway, Michael Phelps, the entire Manning Family, Carmelo Anthony, and John Madden. As if that weren’t enough, he’s worked with TV stars Jerry Seinfeld, Kelsey Grammer, the entire cast of Friends, Megan Mullally, and William Shatner. The list just goes on and on.
