Victor Ridaura


Victor Ridaura is a Latino, award-winning writer/director, by way of commercial directing, based in Los Angeles, CA with a bachelors in Computer Engineering from FIU and an MFA from the University of Southern California. Born and raised in Venezuela, lived in Italy and the U.S., and ultimately settled in Los Angeles, Victor’s intriguing blend of cultural influences strongly informs his visual aesthetic and cinematic approach. He brings a youthful, multi-cultural viewpoint to his creative and energetic productions.

Outside of the commercial realm, Victor’s narrative work has screened and won accolades in festivals around the world. His most recent, DAWN OF MAN – a horror short film he wrote and directed – screened in over 25 festivals including Academy Award and BAFTA qualifying LEEDS International Film Festival, the HBO presented NY Latino Film Festival, and genre specific fests FILMQUEST, Hexploitation Film Festival, and Panic Fest. His bleak, near future, sci-fi script for SUNDOWN COUNTY, won third place at the 2019 Slamdance Screenplay Competition and was a semifinalist in Screencraft’s Short Screenplay Competition.

He has since shadowed director Stella Meghie on two episodes of the BET+ show First Wives Club and subsequently took part in the Ryan Murphy Television Half Foundation Mentorship Program where he shadowed director Loni Peristere on the 100th episode of AMERICAN HORROR STORY.

Currently, Victor has delivered the latest draft of his surreal short screenplay THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES to Primeridian Entertainment, based on a 5 part expose conducted by Reuters about the world of illicit adoption in the United States, and he is working on his feature script for KINGMAKER, a faustian horror story about fame and obsession set in the world of social media.
